Nothing says "summer" quite like the fair around here, and there are plenty of them to go to. Hudsonville holds a special place in my heart though, so I rarely go anywhere else. As far as fairs go, they've nailed it. I guess I can't be picky. A lot of fairs have the same rides and food, but I grew up here. I can't go without running into old friends from the past and it's always wonderful to catch up. So when Donna and I found out that Anna & Heather would be there showing Anna's goats we jumped at the chance to go. I'm pretty busy these days, but we were both able to go on Thursday evening. I haven't been to the fair in 2 or 3 years and didn't realize how expensive it had gotten! Goodness! I had cash and after getting in didn't have much for rides or nasty fair food. Donna and I pooled out money and were able to ride one ride and get some fair food "staples." Yummm.
I'm really glad I got to stop by. I think today is the last day - so it's good that I was able to go Thursday. Hope you all have a great weekend!
Shalom
1- I love those girls. 2- by pooling our money, you meant, you lent me some money so I can by some food... becuase that's a more accurate depiction of what went down
ReplyDelete1. I love those girls, too.
Delete2. Yes, I suppose that's how it went. :)
Im so bummed because I think we missed half the fairs in our area...oh well always the fall festivals that are right around the corner :-)
ReplyDeleteI missed quite a few as well. I'm okay with that though because yes, fall festivals are the bomb diggity. Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteOh I LOVE the fair! I go every year actually, but ours doesn't start until next week. Hooray for fairs!
