Donna and I kicked off the weekend with Rachel's open house. On the ride to her house we were talking about how great it's been to get to know her. She has a great servants heart. I'm glad we have one more summer with her before she goes away to Wheaton College. I love her very much and can't wait to see where the Lord takes her. Wherever she is I know she'll excel in everything she does.

In other news... I just saw that The Smashing Pumpkin's are putting out a new album. Pretty pumped for that. It's been too long since Vol. 2 came out in 2010.

I have a busy weekend planned. 

Saturday: Party for a friend & an undecided adventure with Jordan. We're trying out a new Poler product. Maybe I'll post about it after it launches. ;)

Sunday: Church, Engagement pictures for my friends, Open house, Church. 

Should prove to be a busy, but nice weekend. I'm so honored I get to take Aaron & Kait's engagement pictures. What a blessing to see 2 friends grow together over the past few years. I am so pumped for the rest of their lives.

I have been listening to this cd on repeat in Maximus (my car). It's wonderful. A perfect blend of different music styles. Tracks 4 & 6 might be my favorite. 

Today was wonderful! It rained a little and cooled down. It's only supposed to be 70 tonight instead of closer to the 90's. What a blessing! Also, I got word today that a friend who was struggling with Cancer has been told she is clear of all traces. What a wonderful blessing! Hallelujah! I am so thankful. :) I hope you all had a good day.

Family Adventure: Hudsonville Nature Hike

Today was a great day! The fam went on a walk to the Hudsonville Nature Center. I love being outside, especially on a sunny day. Here's 4 of my favorite people...

I taught the Hikers at church this morning. I have a new group of them since the other ones moved up a class. I love all the new little ones. :)

I made one of the crafts on my list today. "Sharpie Mug" was a total success. It's in the dishwasher right now, so I'll know tomorrow if it's dishwasher safe. All I did was write in sharpie on a ceramic mug (I purchased one at Goodwill for 50 cents!) and bake it for 30 minutes at 350 degrees. The result? Spectacular! 

I wanted to show off a nifty craft my mum did. She painted both of the doors in the kitchen with chalkboard paint. It's so much fun and so crafty!

I don't want to overload myself right now with projects as I'm just getting into things. I am excited to work with mum and Nancee on our little shop project. Its going to be so wonderful to work along side my mother and a good friend. 

We weeded Fran Busch's yard! It was a wonderful time serving with my friends; Donna, Hayley, Peter & Bennett. Thank you, guys! You're a blessing to me. :)

Hello friends! Just a quick post before this evening. Mum and I have a lot of plans for this coming season and I am so excited about all of them!

This Sunday the family is going to pick strawberries and then Monday we're going to make freezer jam! I am going to post pictures as soon as our weekend adventures are complete.
Mum and I talked about renting a space in a local shop up the road. Apparently her and her friend Nancee had already talked about it so it's a done deal! It going to be so much fun and a great summer project. Next is going to be my Etsy shop. That's going to be a really great project, too. I love summer... I love fall the most, but I have a special place in my heart for summer.
