Listening: Lana Del Rey
Hello everyone! Since it is a wonderful holiday season and I've had time off work I've decided to read as much as I possibly can. The Hobbit is on my radar hardcore lately. I watched An Unexpected Journey last week and loved it. Yes, yes, they weren't 100% true to the story, but I enjoyed it anyway. I'm sorry if that offends anyone, that's just the way it is. I can't wait to see what they do with the next 2 movies... How exciting is that?! Okay, I'm done. Enjoy this season - and grab a good book to read!
Shalom
oooooooh Margeaux! I am a huge Tolkien nerd. I was one of those kids in grade school reading the hobbit and trilogy over and over again. Can't wait to see the movie!

I love him. I'm interested in your opinion of the movie since you're a true fan. Let me know what you think! I thought it was great, but there were a couple things that were off. I am so glad I found this book in my room, I haven't read it since I was a little kid.
DeleteI just finished a Hobbit re-read recently too! And I second you on loving the movie. I love that they incorporated bits from the Silmarillion and the appendixes. It made for such an interesting and full look at the Tolkien canon. And the casting was complete perfection.
ReplyDeleteAh, Erica! I'm so glad you know your Tolkien!
DeleteNice, right now I'm reading The Urban Food Revolution. And happy new year!

I have the whole "Lord of the rings" series and "The Hobbit" too. Actually, they are my mom's. She was such a sucker for Lord of the rings *smile*. About the time I was a sucker for "Harry Potter". But I haven't read any of the books yet (the Tolkien ones that is) the movies didn't impress me. And the fact that they want to make The Hobbit a trilogy now... mean, come on! Maybe I will read the books. Hope they are better than the movies.
ReplyDeleteHugs and kisses!
Love, Andreea!
I absolutely love the film as well and I'm so excited for the next 2 ones, I can't wait to start reading the book, is it really good as well? x
