My brother, Paul, loves Cormac McCarthy. I think he's read all of his books. I love the movie adaption of No Country For Old Men (fantastic!) and got excited when I was able to snag this for 20 cents at Goodwill. So far, very good. I'm only a chapter or two in, but I love the way he writes.
Have any of you ever read this or any of his other books? I'm interested in your thoughts!
Happy Wednesday!
Shalom
I haven't read anything from him, but I did enjoy the movie adaptation of No Country for Old Men. I'll have to add him to my reading list.
ReplyDeleteErica, I think you and I were cut from the same cloth!
DeleteGoodwill always has awesome finds! And it made Oprah's book club; you know it's going to be a great find! You'll have to let us know how it goes. Happy Wednesday!
ReplyDeleteI adore Goodwill, ahaha. Glad to hear you agree. I will for sure let you know! I saw the post you just wrote on the blogging book, can't wait to check it out more!
DeleteBooks for 20 cents at the Goodwill??!! That's awesome. Mine charges $2.00 ... is that crazy? I haven't read anything by this author yet, but now I'm intrigued...
ReplyDelete2.00 for a book?! That's terrible! Every time I go to Goodwill I get a load of books. I collect them, so it's a great place to feed a hobby without breaking the bank. Haha.
DeleteSounds like an interesting book, though I am more of a classic literature reader. Right now I am reading Hopscotch by Julio Cortázar. x

I read a lot of classics as well, but wanted to break out of that for a while. I have so many books just sitting on my shelves waiting to be read! Haha. Among those is Hopscotch. It was given to me as a gift and I haven't opened it yet. Let me know how it goes!
