5 Things I Love #8

Drinking: Coffee
Listening: Mark Driscoll

I was swamped all day yesterday and didn't get a chance to do my 5 Things post. I had a wedding, a wedding rehearsal & a rehearsal dinner. This weekend is going to be one big blessed blur. I'm so happy about it though. Liz & Travis got married yesterday. Jake & Josie are getting married later today. Jordan & I are singing at their wedding & I couldn't feel more honored. It's going to be a great time this evening. I'm ready to dance the night away.

1. This is the song Jordan and I are singing today (with some tweeks!) I've been listening to it a lot lately and remembered how fond of it I was.

2. This craft looks amazing! Aren't those shakers super cute?
3. Wedding season. I get to dance & no one cares that I'm not good at it because they're so happy someone got married. Oh! And because people I love get married. :)

4. I'm finding a new love for design that I've never had before and it's wonderful.

5. This site has really fantastic ideas on staying organized & having a home you love to live it. It's a really enjoyable read.

I'm glad I had time to post this right before Jordan picks me up! Actually... he's calling me now. Off to a wedding I go! Enjoy this wonderful weekend!

All Grown Up

Drinking: Coffee
Listening: Imagine Dragons

Last night Peter had us over for a hang out at his new apartment. I can't believe how fast we're all growing up. It's wonderful to be surrounded by these people, though. As we all transition into the full swing of adulthood, I'm thankful for each & every one of them.

Stephanie, Jon, Kara, Liz & the man of the house, Peter!

A little bit of this & a little bit of that...

Harry Potter in the flesh.

Love this story board game.
Cheers to another fall weekend. I hope yours is fantastic. :)

End Of Summer Camping 2012

I'm hoping this becomes an annual thing. It was so much fun to camp out a night with some good friends a couple weekends ago. We didn't go far from home - just Holland State Park. Had a great time with a bon fire, smores, good company and a great breakfast! Enjoy the pictures!

I am so blessed I had to stop and think clearly about it today. I hope I always stay thankful, joyful & content.

What I'm Reading

Drinking: Water
Listening: Sleep EP

Happy Wednesday afternoon, folks! I've been elbow deep in work today. Busy season is hitting and I'm remembering all too well the 16 hour days. With school and work I know I'll be busy, but I am so excited. Every fall it feels like I open a new chapter of my life - and it's a great feeling!

Thankfully, I've had some time to curl up lately and read! I'm currently on House Of Sand & Fog written by Andrew Dubus III. I snatched it up at Goodwill for 10 cents & I had heard a lot about it so I figured I would give it a try! I'm only 3-ish chapters in, but I really like it so far. It was made into a movie in 2003 so as soon as I finish reading it I'm going to rent that and watch it. I love doing that.. Reading first, watching second. I try to do it as much as possible. I'll comment more on it when I have successfully placed it in my "I have read this" pile of books.

Have a great rest of your Wednesday!

Life Lately.

The last 2 weeks are shortened into the pictures above.

That's one thing I love about pictures, they help me capture a memory that words really can't. I'll never be a photographer, but I will always be someone who takes pictures. It's just plain fun to look back. In the last 2 weeks... I made cupcakes, Jordan & I went on a hike to scout good bow hunting spots, Emma turned 1, I enjoyed lovely company at a girls night, we made crafts for Liz's shower & Jordan, Kara, Donna and I went to The Curragh. I would say I have a pretty great life. Happy Tuesday, everyone. :)

Happy Monday, folks! The group for today is Florence & The Machine. I have both of her albums in my car right now and they are both wonderful. A few of the links to some of my favorite songs are below.

These are my favorite F+TM songs...

Check them out if you haven't already, they're fantastic.

School!

Drinking: Water
Listening: Northern State

I know I'm not good at this "fashion" thing, but I really had a good time with the clothing collage I made the other day. Sally's first day at a new school is tomorrow and it prompted me to put together a list of nail polish that I think is great for everyday wear and tear.

1. Slick Slate - Sally Hansen
2. Good As Gold - Essie
3. Private Viewing - Wet n Wild

All of these colors are great for the fall/school season, but I wear them all year around. They can match almost anything in my closet, which is what I look for if I'm going to put something on my nails. It's back to school for a lot of people. Hope you have a great Monday! Enjoy!

First time for everything!

Drinking: Water
Listening: Kinds Of Convenience

Hello hello everyone! I haven't posted in about a week, I know... I've been taking a break and planning a lot.  I'll be back to regular posts asap after the holiday weekend! To start off this Labor Day weekend I thought I would make a little list of things I think are wonderful this fall season. I've never made one of these collages before, but I'm happy with how it turned out.

1/2/3/4/5/6/7

Hope you all enjoy your holiday! What are your fall favorites this year?
