Music Monday - Purity Ring // Shrines

I've loved these guys since they came into being in 2010. And I loved them even more when their first full length album was launched in 2012. Lately I've been digging them a lot and thus they were added to my Music Monday list. The band is made up of two people: Megan James & Corin Roddick. They are interesting and different - which is one of the main reasons I like them.

Below are some of my favorite songs from the album (mostly singles released before the album).

Holiday Gift Guide: Sister

Drinking: Coffee
Listening: Frank Turner

Next up on my holiday gift guide? Sisters! My sister is 18 and a throwback. She's one of the people that should have been born in the 60's. Old school and quirky. The picks below fit her perfectly...

1/2/3/4

1. Claire Hartigan - This key chain is perfect for Sally. Small, classy & cute - plus, she just got her license not long ago.

2. Miasunique - Sally loves owls, so this pillow is perfect! I love the simple colors.

3. RSVP Handcrafted - I'm loving this leather mustache sunglasses case! So chic and fresh.

4. ShopKP - Kristin Perry accessories are so cute. I couldn't help but fall in love with these vintage cat-eye sunglasses! The little rosettes are adorable.

What are you guys getting for your sisters this season?

DIY // Gold Magnetic Letters

Drinking: Water
Listening: Noah Gunderson

I wanted to spice up our fridge for the holiday season, but make it versatile enough that I could re-use whatever I made the rest of the year. What color is more versatile than gold?! Yeah, that's what I thought... So gold it is!

1. I bought these magnetic letters and used paint I already had on hand. Then I got to work!

2. I laid them out flat and have them a couple coats of paint.

 3. Front and back...

4. Once they were dry I gave them a once over with a clear top coat.

Aren't they cute posted up on our fridge? I'm in love... I can't wait to play with them from now on.

What about you guys? How do you like this project?

Music Monday - Vertical Church Band // The Rock Won't Move

I know I might be a little biased since I go to Harvest West Olive - but I really do love these guys. Their heart for the Lord is incredible and these songs, well... they're powerful and full of truth. Win win. If you've never heard of these guys (or even if you have) you should read this interview. Good stuff.

Below are some of my favorite songs from the album with the links to the videos.

So what do you think of the Vertical Church Band? I would love to hear!

Holiday Gift Guide: Mum

Drinking: Water
Listening: Angels & Airwaves

I've been looking all over Etsy for gifts this year and thought it would be a good idea to put together lists for each member of the family. First up, Mom! Who better to kick off the holiday gift giving season than the person who brought you into the world!

Even though my mum just hit the big 50, she's young at heart, so I took that into mind when I put together this list.

1/2/3/4

1. Brookish - This is one of my favorite stores on Etsy. It's filled with tons of apparel and goodies featuring Pride & Prejudice quotes. What's not to love?!

2. The Coin Laundry - This shop is too cute! Check it out for lots of kitchen towels and a couple surprising items. One of my favorites? This onesie

3. Twisted Branch Designs - Who doesn't love something custom? Well this shop is full of custom designable cutting boards. Perfect for mom while she's in the kitchen!

4. Colby June - Gorgeous homemade jewelry! There isn't one design from Colby June that I don't love! These would be perfect for my mum and she would rock them.

What are you guys looking to purchase for your mums? I would love ideas! Mine is a hard buy. ;)
